The mileage rate has increased to $.625 for travel occurring on or after July 1, 2022.  A new travel voucher is available to reflect the increase.

All overnight Faculty/Staff/Grad Assistant/International or Student travel, regardless of destination, will need to complete the University-Sponsored Travel Notification.  In addition, University-Sponsored Domestic Student Travel will require trip leader(s)/faculty advisor(s) to submit a student roster to TravelNotification@ilstu.edu prior to trip departure.

Travel requiring COVID testing:

• COVID testing prior to leaving the U.S. – The employee should take advantage of the multitude of locations that are providing tests at no cost to the individual.  A traveler can check on the CDC website or inquire with their physician or local health department.
• For COVID testing outside the U.S. – The submission of COVID testing to an employee’s health insurance to cover the costs of the tests is encouraged before seeking reimbursement.  Reimbursement for the testing without submitting the testing to insurance is up to the Budget Officer’s discretion.
• Documentation should be submitted to support the requirements for each of the tests that are being reimbursed.  Any testing that is recommended but not required would not be reimbursable.
